 Prince Edward Island (PEI) invited 66 applicants in the Latest PEI PNP Draw on 4th April 2024

The province released 66 invitations for the sixth PEI EOI draw of 2024, which took place on April 4, 2024. Notably, none of the 66 applicants for labour and express entry was for businesses or work permits, but all of them were for people employed in the healthcare, manufacturing, or early childhood education sectors.

What qualifications does the PEI PNP draw require?
To choose and rank individuals who will best serve the island's labor market and economic needs, all relevant applicant data is gathered for Prince Edward Island's employment vacancies (PEI EOI draw).
The following conditions must be met to be eligible for the Prince Edward Island PNP:

• Applicants have to score at least 65 points to be considered for the PEI Express Entry, Skilled Worker, and Critical Worker Streams.

•Among other Federal Economic Immigration Programs, the candidate must be qualified for the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, or Federal Skilled Trades Program.

For your immigration to be approved, you must have worked full-time for nine consecutive months for a PEI employer. In addition, at the time you submit your Expression of Interest, your work visa must still have at least four months left on it.
1. You possess a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and graduated from an institution other than PEI.
2. You have an open work permit because your spouse is studying outside of Prince Edward Island.

When will the 2024 PEI PNP draw take place?
The PEI PNP releases its own estimated PEI PNP draw schedule each year; however, the Office of Immigration may alter this schedule to comply with program requirements. The date of the upcoming PEI PNP for 2024 is April 18, 2024.
